On the morning of May 19, 2008 the delegation of Khon Kaen University led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chaiwit Thanapaisal – Assistant to the President for Quality Assure Affairs with some administrators, 7 staffs and 35 excellent students had a visit and working session with Quang Binh University.
Khon Kaen University was established in 1964, a largest university in Northeast of Thailand with the greatest number of students and programs. On March 9, Khon Kaen University signed Memorandum of Understanding for the cooperation in education, training and science research with Quang Binh University. This visit is a chance for both universities to exchange and strengthen the good cooperative relation between two universities.
At the working, two universities gave presents together, saw the VCD introducing Khon Kaen University and Vietnamese traditional performances shown by Quang Binh students. Especially, with honor sentiments, Khon Kaen University planted the Pink Cassia as a souvenir in the schoolyard. This tree is symbol of their university and planted in Khon Kaen University by the King and the Queen. This ceremony is symbolized the cooperative friendly relation between Khon Kaen University and Quang Binh University.
 
 
 
Following to the business trip dated May 19, on May 21, 4 administrators of Khon Kaen University led by Assoc.Prof.Dr. Kulthida Tuamsuk – Vice President had a working session at Quang Binh University.
At the working, Khon Kaen University agreed to help Quang Binh University some matters as follows: Establish the Thai Language Center at Quang Binh University, send some experts to teach students of Quang Binh University on the field of history, culture and Thai language after establishing the Thai Center, equip documents, tapes, VCD, materials, books .....regarding Thailand country, coordinate with Quang Binh University to carry out the scientific research thesis on inter-culture between Vietnam and Thailand through Vietnamese community living and studying in Thailand, help Quang Binh University take part in the higher-education project for countries around Mekhong sub-region and allow Quang Binh University to send 3 excellent students to study at Khon Kaen University every year (with the support of total school fees by Khon Kaen University).
Finishing the working, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kulthida Tuamsuk with some leaders of Quang Binh University planted the White Banyan tree at the schoolyard.
